ODESSA - The bond has been set and an Odessa man remains behind bars accused of robbing a convenience store.

Authorities say 43-year-old René José Marquez remains behind bars on a $100,000 thousand dollar bond.

Marquez is accused of hitting the town and country on south Grant Thursday night around 10.

The clerk said Marquez came in, pointed a gun at him, and took two 18 packs of beer.

Police caught up with Marquez right across the street from the police station 45 minutes later.

He's still in jail and is charged with aggravated robbery.
