MIDLAND - A man in Midland is badly banged up.

Police say he was a passenger in a pickup truck when he opened the door while it was still moving at 40 miles per hour.

The man suffered two broken legs and a head injury after rolling out of the truck near Cotton Flat and Neil Avenue.

Emergency crews took the man to Midland Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

He told police he opened the door, because he had a stomach ache and needed to vomit.

Police say they don't believe alcohol is a factor.

The driver may be ticketed for not having a license.
