A Midland woman is facing up to 12 years in prison after admitting to stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from her employer for five years.
41-year-old Maria Sanchez Aguirre pleaded guilty to credit card fraud and aggravated identity theft.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Aguirre took more than $350,000 dollars from the Prime Operating Company and Eastern Oil Service between 2002 and 2007.
She was able to hide this from her employer, because she was the one who opened the mail keeping others from seeing bank statements, checks, and credit card statements.
She was discovered when she went on vacation in 2007 when other employees opened the mail.
