MIDLAND - A Midland accountant pleads guilty to bank fraud and identity theft.

38-year-old Dina Smith hatched a scheme that allowed her to steal around $214,000 dollars from Midland Pathology, one of her clients.

She admitted to forging the name of a doctor on the company's checks, then endorsed the check, and deposited the cash into her bank account.

Under federal law, Smith will have to pay back all the money she embezzled.

She faces up to 30 years in prison and a 1 million dollar fine when she's sentenced in April.
