Man Killed Outside Hobbs Dance Hall

HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - The search continues in Hobbs for several suspects they say killed a man outside a local dance hall on Sunday morning.

A caller alerted Police about some trouble brewing at Forest's Place formerly known as Elk's Lodge.

Police showed up around 2:30 Sunday morning to find a man had been shot. The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Yurhonnd DeLoach. DeLoach was a construction worker from Mississippi.

He died at Lea Regional Hospital.

Hobbs Police say DeLoach was shot by 25-year-old Aubrey Savage of Hobbs. An arrest warrant has been issued for Savage for Murder.

Police say Savage should be considered armed and dangerous.

A $500.00 reward is being offered for information regarding the shooting.

Police say they've responded to the dance hall several times in the last few years.
