Three Suspects Behind Bars for Midland Nightclub Murder

MIDLAND - Three people are behind bars after a shooting at a Midland club. Three men are behind bars for the murder of 23-year-old Jermaine Swearington.

Police have arrested 18-year-old Melvin Lenard, 18-year-old Jesse James Johnson, and 21-year-old James Timothy Braziel.

Police are still looking for 20-year-old Miguel Chatman. 

The shooting happened Sunday morning around 4:00 at the Pleasures Nightclub at 210 south Lee. 

When police pulled up the victim was gone, but soon after police learned Jermaine Swearington had checked himself into Midland Memorial Hospital and doctors had rushed him into emergency surgery.

Swearington died several hours later.
