BIG SPRING - Residents in Big Spring are trying to move one step closer to rebuilding a local kids playground.

They are going to need the money first and on Saturday, members of the Big Spring Chicano Golf Association put on a tournament to help raise some cash.

All proceeds for the tournament fees and food sales will go towards rebuilding Kids' Zone.

The playground was burned back in December and police suspect it to be arson.

The area was built by funds donated by local businesses and volunteers.

We're told 152 people showed up to the golf tournament to help raise the money to rebuild the playground.
