MIDLAND - NewsWest 9 told you back in November about the new behavioral hospital on the way in Midland.
It's now set to open January 27th after a two week delay.
An error in the phone system installation pushed the date back, but hospital officials say they're almost ready to go.
The Permian Basin Behavioral Hospital will provide a place for those who need mental health care or have behavioral problems to receive constant care.
The facility will take care of adolescent and geriatric patients who are currently having to drive as far as San Angelo or Lubbock to receive care.
They say the need is so great; they'll be 65 percent capacity in just the first year.
The hospital has already hired most of its needed staff.
This week, they're going through orientation.
