MIDLAND - It could be ten years in a federal prison for a Midland man after pleading guilty to stealing trucks from his employer and trying to take them to Mexico.

27-year-old David Pando pleaded guilty on Monday morning in federal court.

Authorities say Pando and another man, 25-year old Steven Pinedo of Odessa, took two work trucks from Bobcat Pressure Control in March of last year.

Those trucks are worth about a million dollars total.

Pando admitted to arranging to take the trucks to Mexico.

He could get up to 10 years in prison during his April trial and also pay a $250,000 dollar fine.

The case against Pinedo is pending.
