Marfa School Board Extends Superintendent's Contract

MARFA - The Marfa school board has extended the contract of superintendent Teloa Swinnea.

The board voted to give Swinnea a seven percent raise and also established a longevity bonus if Swinnea stays in Marfa until 2013.

Swinnea has served as the high school principal and interim superintendent while in Marfa.

Marfa School Board President Yvonne Lujan told NewsWest9 that the board was very happy with Swinnea's work and wanted to keep her.
