Southwest Midland Asked to Conserve Water Tuesday, Wednesday

MIDLAND - Residents in Southwest Midland are being asked to avoid using water outside on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

The City of Midland will be inserting new piping and connections into the water transmission line at teh Edgewood Booster Station during that time. The city will have to shut down the line to do the work and residents may notice reduced water pressure.

The new piping connections are part of a construction project at the Edgewood station. The project began in July of 2007 at a cost of $4.1 million to improve water pressure on the westside of the city.

The project should be completed by summer.
