HOWARD COUNTY - A Howard County man was arrested Saturday morning after a short standoff.
Authorities were called to the 300 block of Davis Road around 5:30 a.m. for an alleged domestic disturbance.
The Howard County Sheriff's Office and the Big Spring Police Department entered into negotiations with 40-year-old Jesse Martinez. Martinez exited the home, but then went back inside.
Officials first used less-lethal bean-bag rounds to subdue Martinez, but those had little effect. Officials then used a tazer to subdue him.
Martinez was taken to Scenic Mountain Hospital in Big Spring where he was treated and released.
