HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Four teens are in trouble with the law after a bungled burglary in Hobbs.

We're told they tried to break into the J.C. Penney, and got past the first door but never made it inside.

A witness saw two of the teens kicking in the stores glass doors.

When the alarms went off, an officer saw the teens running away from the store, they were found hiding under a truck on west Ute.

Police say the kids aged, 13-to-15, admitted to breaking into a restaurant and stealing from the register, and from the human society donation jar.

They're facing commercial burglary and several other charges.
