ECTOR COUNTY - A Christmas day disturbance sent deputies into a high speed pursuit and the man responsible headed straight to jail.

Authorities were called out to a home in Ector County around noon.

A spokesperson for the Ector County Sheriff's Office says it's a home they've visited many times before, and when they ran a check, they found 36-year-old Shon Rushmore had three outstanding warrants.

Deputies say that's when a car suddenly fled from the home.

They tried to pull the car over, but Rushmore kept going hitting a parked car in the Walgreen's parking lot at 8th and Dixie, eventually running into a cinder block fence.

That's when Rushmore bailed out of the car and took off on foot.

Rushmore was later caught in the 3100 block of Eisenhower.

He now faces charges of felony evading and aggravated assault with a vehicle, along with the other three previous warrants.
