EUNICE, NEW MEXICO - The L.E.S. plant in Southeastern New Mexico has a new high-tech way to keep in touch with employees.
Louisiana Energy Services purchased an $82,000 dollar emergency notification system that can call, text, and e-mail employees in case of bad weather, or if there's an emergency at the Eunice plant.
The system is similar to others used by the federal government, airports, and other nuclear facilities.
L.E.S. will make fuel for commercial nuclear power plants and production is expected to begin by late 2009.
