Odessa Man Arrested After Deadly Accident, Victim Identified

ODESSA - An Odessa man has been arrested after he failed to stop and render aid at a fatal accident.

Police say 27-year-old Pilar Aldaz Alvarado was traveling north bound in the 2600 block of South Highway 385 around 6:00 Saturday evening when he turned in front of a motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle then crashed into the 1996 Ford Explorer Alvarado was driving and was killed. Police say Alvarado then fled the scene of the accident.

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old David Alor-Granados of Odessa. Alvarado faces charges for Manslaughter and Failure to Stop and Render Aid.
