LOVINGTON, NEW MEXICO - A Lovington teen who has already plead guilty for his part in the murder of a convenience store clerk will be sentenced as an adult.
17-year-old Joshua Gutierrez, turns 18 in may.
He plead guilty to a second degree murder charge in exchange for testifying against two other people for the murder of Virginia Land.
He was supposed to be sentenced Monday, but the judge took up the question of whether or not he should be sentenced as a juvenile or an adult.
He now faces up to 15 years behind bars.
No sentencing date has been set.
