United Way Receives Grant for 30 Degrees Project

MIDLAND - United Way of Midland is taking steps to fund the 30 degrees project.

It's a program to make sure the homeless in Midland have a place to stay on nights the temperture drops 30 degrees or below.

A grant request was approved and the United Way now has the money to pay for the start-up costs of the project.

The United Way, Salvation Army, Red Cross, Midland Police, and faith-based organizations have pooled resources for the 30 degrees project.
