FORT STOCKTON - After 20 years, a serious crack in a cold case out of Fort Stockton.
A man connected to the disappearance of 26-year-old Joe Daggett stepped forward with key information on Sunday.
Volunteers used the tip to pinpoint an abandoned well, where they expect to find Daggett's remains within the next 24 hours.
A team of volunteers, Texas EquuSearch, a private investigator, and the Texas Rangers have been searching all weekend.
They believe this new information will help them give Daggett's family closure.
Daggett went missing back in 1988.
Since his disappearance Daggett's brothers and Father have longed to find him.
On Monday, the team will continue a full recovery mission to remove Daggett's body from the well.
No one has ever been charged in Daggett's disappearance, but the case is now in the hands of the Attorney General's Office.
