WEST ODESSA--The latest victim is the Smoker's Outlet on West University in Odessa.   But as NewsWest 9 has learned, this isn't the first time Smoker's Outlet has been hit.   In fact it isn't even the second or the third.

NewsWest 9 spoke to the loss prevention department for Smoker's Outlet on Thursday afternoon, and they say they have been hit 6 times since October 19th.  That includes all their Odessa stores and one of their Midland locations.

The most recent robbery happened at the West Odessa location.

The clerk told Sheriff's deputies, a man came into the store, just after nine o'clock on Wednesday night, and while she was working the drive-up window.  She says he seemed to be just waiting around inside.

When she turned around, he pointed a black, semi-automatic pistol at her and demanded money.   After she gave it to him, he backed out of the store and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximatley  170 pounds.   He was wearing a white T-Shirt and black shorts.

Smokers Outlet says they plan to add extra cameras to their existing surveilence system to give them more viewing angles of all their stores.

If you have any information on this robbery, you are asked to call the Ector County Sheriff's Office at 335-3050 or Odessa CrimeStoppers.
