MIDLAND - The bond for a Midland man charged with murder has been lowered from almost a million dollars to $650,000.

Alex Saldana's bond was lowered in district court on Wednesday.

But that doesn't mean Saldana can just pay his bond and walk out of jail.

There are several conditions he has to meet if he posts bond, including requiring he remain under house arrest, and wear a GPS ankle bracelet.

Saldana is accused of shooting and killing 44 year-old Stephen Adams in the parking lot of the Whataburger on north Midkiff on November 16th.

Saldana has been indicted on several charges including first degree murder, deadly conduct, and aggravated assault.
