Police Investigating Kidnapping of Midland Boy

MIDLAND - Midland Police are investigating the kidnapping of a 12-year-old boy.

Police say it happened in northwest Midland on Monday night around 6:30p.m. The 12-year-old was walking in the alley behind his home with a small trash can in his hands. While walking to the dumpster, he was grabbed by four male suspects and placed in the bed of a pickup truck.

Two of the males were inside the truck while two were riding in the bed with the boy. Once the truck came to a stop, the boy jumped out and ran to his home. He was gone about 10 minutes and was not harmed.

The suspects are described as four males of unknown race. They were dressed in all black and were wearing ski masks. The truck is described as being dark blue in color with an extended cab, a grill or brush guard, a possible roll bar in the bed of the truck, a sliding rear window and a sprayed bed liner.
