Another suspect is behind bars connected to a big methamphetamine lab bust across the Basin.
The suspect has been added to the list of 16 already behind bars. Law enforcement from all over West Texas worked together to uncover meth labs in Monahans and Odessa Wednesday.
After the 17th suspect was arrested Thursday, all of them appeared in federal court. They will spend the weekend in jail, until their bond hearings on Tuesday. The group is facing charges of manufacturing methamphetamine. Several of the suspects allegedly went pharmacy to pharmacy, stacking up on over-the-counter drugs.
Authorities said this is part of a two year investigation. They also said the group may be connected to the Aryan brotherhood and the Ayan circle.
NewsWest 9 has learned authorities confiscated about seven pounds of meth throughout the investigation. That's worth about $200,000 on the street.
