ODESSA- Thanksgiving is less than a week away but Chantal Peterson already has everything she needs to make a good dinner.
"Very relieved, glad that it's already here; if it wasn't for them who knows what people would do without their help," Chantal Peterson, who received a food basket, said.
Peterson says it's needed more than ever.
"Bills going up, food going up, they are not paying you the way they should," Peterson said.
Sophia Garza was also thankful.
"I feel good, I am glad that God could bless me with the food and stuff, there's a lot of people out there that need help, and I am glad that we have the Church to help us out," Sophia Garza, who also received food basket, said.
Members of the Odessa Christian Faith Center have been delivering "Blessing Baskets" for more than ten years.
"The reaction is really good, we spend al to time through out the year, probably spend 9 to 10 months a year just ministering them on a weekly basis, and coming out here is just another way to build that relationship and they are thankful in every way," Elton Emiliano with the Odessa Christian Faith Center, said.
Elton Emiliano says it's about more than just handing out food.
"We are giving up a little bit of what we have just so we can come and show them how much we love them and how much we believe in them," Emiliano said.
