WINK- 35-year old Jason Vaught is going to prison for five years after cutting a plea deal with the Winkler County District Attorney.
Under the deal, Vaught plead "True" to engaging in organized criminal activity in connection to the brutal rape.
Authorities say he was not one of the rapists, but failed to stop the crime. Vaught also plead guilty to possessing a prohibited weapon, that charge was from a year ago.
"My job is to do the best job I possibly can for my clients and I think it was very fair for Mr. Vaught, it would not be fair for my client to concern myself with the victim's family," Vaught's Attorney, Alfredo Soza, said.
The rape took place at a home in Winkler County back on September 21. Four other people including two Wink High School students and one of their mothers are still facing charges and awaiting trial.
