MIDLAND - Some good news for Midland drivers as all of the roads around Midland Drive and Loop 250 are now back open.

The work was on for Midland crews to clean up nearly a hundred barrels of crude oil that spilled down Midland Drive.

Authorities were forced to shut down the busy intersection because of an oil tanker accident om Friday just before three.

Police have yet to release details, but NewsWest 9 has learned two vechicles were involved in an accident which left the tanker rolled on its side and leaking a light crude oil down Midland Drive.

Two people were transported to the hospital. No word on their conditions.

Emergency crews, TX-DOT, and HAZMAT all worked for hours to clean up most of the oil.

No one was evacuated, but authorities blocked off service roads and diverted traffic away from the intersection.
