MIDLAND - Not so fast.
That was the word from a Midland County D.A. as Alex Saldana tried to post bond on Tuesday night.
Saldana is accused of shooting and killing 44-year-old husband and dad Steve Adams just before two Sunday morning in a what-a-burger parking lot.
Just as Saldana was posting $150,000 bond, a judge increased his bond and added an all-new aggravated assault charge.
Saldana has admitted to firing a gun in the same parking lot where Adams was murdered, but stopped short of a confession.
Adams was waiting for his daughter, who was inside the Whataburger at Midkiff and Wadley, when he was shot and killed.
