Keep Midland Beautiful will hold its 6th Annual Texas Recycles Day Collection Site at the Chaparral parking lot at Midland College on Saturday, November 15th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  This will be an excellent opportunity for you to recycle your computers, copiers and other computer related electronics!  NO TV'S OR STEREO'S WILL BE ACCEPTED.  Individuals and businesses are encouraged to bring their unwanted computers to the collection site that day as KMB has arranged for an E-waste recycling company to take the computer equipment to be recycled.  E-waste is the fastest-growing segment of municipal solid waste in the U.S.  Computers will be donated for recycling as is; or please remove the hard drive before you get to the collection site.  Other items to be collected and recycled that day are cell phones, paper, cardboard, newspaper, phone books, aluminum, tires, magazines, all plastics with a neck smaller than the base, and plastic bags.  NO PAINT OR BATTERIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Call Keep Midland Beautiful for more information about all other recycling items and collection site details at 687-7400.  The Salvation Army will collect items for reuse at the site.  Those items are clothes, toys, knick knacks, furniture in GOOD CONDITION ONLY appliances in WORKING CONDITION ONLY, mattresses with no stains.
