WEST TEXAS - Elections officials in Midland and Ector counties said their phones have been ringing off the hook since 8:00 Monday morning.   The most popular question?  "Am I registered to vote?"
Mitzi Schieble is telling her staff to get ready for a long day. Her counter part in Midland County is doing the same. Election day is going to take it's toll on everyone,

Midland County Elections Administrator Ruth Sloan says they will have trouble shooters  at the polls throughout the day to take care of any machine malfunctions or supply problems.

"There's never a perfect election. We just try to make it as seamless as possible.  We're prepared as we can be at this point," Sloan said.

Officials expect lines to be the longest at 7:00 in the morning, noon and anytime after 5:00 p.m. If you are already in line by 7:00 p.m., then you still get to cast your vote.
