MIDLAND - Many West Texans won't have to worry about how they're going to pay those high energy bills over the holidays.
They'll be getting some help from West Texas Opportunities.
A $60,000 check was handed over to the organization on Monday at Midland City Hall.
It will go to help lower income families keep their home warm this winter.
The Abell-Hangar Foundation donated $10,000 to TXU's "Energy Aid Program," TXU then pitched in the rest.
The company says their program is designed to give back to the community to help those in need.
