SAN ANGELO - A former Fort Stockton teacher out of jail, but not out of hot water.

26-year-old Jamie Steen bonded out of the Tom Green County jail on Wednesday, after turning herself in to authorities.

Fort Stockton police found out she was in San Angelo, and gave her a chance to surrender first.

Steen faces charges in Fort Stockton involving sending explicit text messages to several students.

Those text messages involved dirty jokes and sexually explicit cartoons.

Fort Stockton Police tells NewsWest 9 that Steen admitted to sending them.

But that's not all they say the former agriculture teacher also confessed to giving alcohol to some students during an overnight field trip that wasn't approved by the school district.

Steen hasn't been charged in that case yet.

She resigned from the school district last week.

No word on when she'll be showing up for court.
