Power Company in Presidio Upgrading to Provide More Reliable Electricity

PRESIDIO - Presidio is tired of sitting in the dark - and now something is being done about it.

AEP, the power company that serves Presidio will soon begin work on a 56-million dollar project to provide more reliable electricity.

The lines that bring electricity into town are more than 50 years old - and are unreliable at best.

Power outages have become common over the past five years.

City officials say replacing the lines will take several years.
