MIDLAND - Just in time for the start of elections, Tom Craddick and Bill Dingus are debating some of the biggest issues affecting Midland.

On Sunday, they squared off talking about special interest groups in Austin, oil and drilling, and how best to spend taxpayer dollars.

Craddick, the incumbent, has represented Midland in the Texas House since 1969, and has been Speaker since 2003.

Bill Dingus, a former Midland City Councilman, is challenging Craddick for his seat representing District 82.
