Dyess Air Force Personnel Present Two Flags to Veterans Home in Big Spring

BIG SPRING - Texas Veterans got a Stars and Stripes salute on Friday morning in Big Spring.

Airmen from Dyess Air Force Base presented two flags to the Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Veterans Home.

The nursing facility is home to over 150 veterans, the bulk of whom served in World War II and the Korean War.

Both flags were flown in missions over Iraq or Afghanistan.

Texas is one of only five states Nationwide to offer special nursing home benefits to its veterans.
