Andrews Voters Head to Polls Saturday

ANDREWS - Voters in Andrews will head to the polls Saturday. A two cent increase in school taxes is on the ballot.

The two cent tax increase will raise about $800,000 in revenue for the district and this money will all stay at home.

Andrews is considered a property rich district and gives back millions of dollars to the state through its so-called Robin Hood plan. School officials tell NewsWest9 this money can't be touched by Austin and will help the district deal with rising costs.
