ANDREWS - Residents in Andrews and Gaines Counties are reporting that phones are out in the area.
AT&T tells NewsWest 9 that one of their fiber optic cables was cut which is currently affecting the Andrews and Gaines County area.
NewsWest 9 has also learned a private land owner cut the cable in Midland.
AT&T crews have located the cut line, which was cut by a private land owner in Midland, and are on the scene making repairs to the cut line. No timetable was given as to when the line would be fixed.
Callers have reported that ATMs and gas pumps are not working. Residents also report that banks in the area have shut down.
NewsWest 9 has been informed that land line and cell phones are being affected as well.
