Randall Lee Stevens Indicted on Two Capital Murder Charges

A 50-year-old Reeves County man charged with murdering a husband and wife and their business has been indicted on two counts of capital murder by a grand jury.

REEVES COUNTY - A 50-year-old Reeves County man charged with murdering a husband and wife and their business has been indicted on two counts of capital murder by a grand jury.

Randall Lee Stephens allegedly stabbed A.J. and Richard Cherry to death back on May 7th at their bar, called "D.J.'s Roundup."

The Reeves County Grand Jury returned the indictments on Thursday, and bond has been denied by a judge.

Stephens remains in the Criminal Justice Center in Pecos.

You may recall, Stephens is accused of robbing and stabbing the couple, then fleeing in their truck which was later discovered in New Mexico.

Authorities in Alabama caught up with stephens at a truck stop restaurant, just outside of Mobile on June 3rd.
