15,000 pounds of Texas Peanut Butter, that's a lot.

Seminole peanut farmers wanted to do their part to help Ike victims.

State peanut farmers, mostly from Gaines County, have decided to help stock empty food bank shelves in south Texas.

Many different growers donated thousands of pounds of the high protein snack.

They say it's the perfect food for this type of situation, because it doesn't have to be refridgerated.
