MIDLAND - Midland Crimestoppers cracking down on crime on campus.

Midland Crimestoppers spent Tuesday passing out T-shirts and information cards to students at Midland Freshman on how they can report crimes at school.

Students can call the hotline, submit tips online or contact a campus police officer or crimestoppers sponsor.

"We just want students to know this works like the adult program. You are going to remain anonymous and you don't have to be afraid of being a snitch.  We are never going to ask your name and you don't have to be afraid of retaliation or repercussions," Midland Crimestoppers Director Angie Valenzuela, said.

Valenzuela says they usually see an increase in tips of crimes on campus after visiting a school.

Crimestoppers will visit Midland High, Midland Lee, and Greenwood High Schools in October.
