PRESIDIO - FM 170 remains closed southeast of Presidio due to flooding on the Rio Grande. The roadway was closed Monday and could be closed for days to come. Some areas are covered by several feet of water.

Water releases from the Luis Leon reservoir in Mexico are causing the Rio Grande to swell. The area has also seen rainfall for the last several days.

Stormtracker9 Meteorologist Kurt Mueller toured the flooding on Tuesday.

In Pecos County, rain showers on Tuesday caused several highways to flood. Drivers are always cautioned not to drive into water running over the road.
