HOBBS, NEW MEXICO - Three people were injured in a Labor Day shootout in Hobbs. It happened just after 6:30 on Monday near Washington Park on the city's south side.
Police say gunfire erupted in the roadway and then one vehicle crashed into another. Police say at least four people pulled out weapons and fired multiple times.
33-year-old Jeffrey Walker, 26-year-old Shamus Wright and 31-year-old Nathaniel Evans were injured. All three people are from Hobbs. One of those shot was hit multiple times. The other two victims were shot once.
