The first week of school kicks off the much anticipated football season, but this year you will notice a change at the box office.

"At the stadium students and all adults will buy tickets out there, and they will all be seven dollar tickets," ECISD Athletic Director Leon Fuller, said.

Fuller says the new ticket price stems from realignment of the district.

"We have ten teams that are in this brand new district, and it is set for two years now by the UIL. You have to sit down with them and discuss all the changes and one of those changes is ticket prices," Fuller added.

Seven dollars for adults is actually a dollar cheaper than last year in Odessa, but four dollar student tickets will no longer be available.

"We will have two dollar tickets that students and faculty can buy on campus," Fuller said.

Ratliff Stadium will still be under construction on game day, but construction will not effect seating.

"We hoped to have it done before the season started, but we are behind, and it's going to be a little bit tough to have construction going on," Fuller said.

A new season means a new price to cheer on your team.

All stadiums in District 2-5A will charge 7 dollars for tickets across the board.
