PECOS COUNTY - A billion dollar gas plant is one step closer to a reality in Pecos County.
The Pecos County Commissioners Court approved a tax plan on Monday with Sandridge Energy.
Sandridge Energy will pay the county almost 14 million dollars over the next ten years instead of property taxes on the project.
In 2019, the Century Plant as it will be called will become part of the County's regular tax base.
