Preliminary Autopsy Results Released in the Death of a Big Spring Teen

HOWARD COUNTY - New details coming in this afternoon in the death of an 18-year-old Big Spring teen found dead on the side of the road on Wednesday afternoon.

The preliminary autopsy results are in for 18-year-old Michael Robert Creel.

The Lubbock Medical Examiner has ruled the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head, consistent with falling out of a vehicle.

Officials believe Creel died after he was ejected from a car driven by 18-year-old Jeffery Ray Pierson.

They say pierson allegedly let the scene of the accident on Longshore road, and they believe it was because he was drunk.

Pierson later confessed and has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.

Big Spring Officials continue to investigate.
