LOVINGTON, NEW MEXICO - The trial for the man Lovington, New Mexico police say was the mastermind of a conveninece store robbery that left the store clerk dead has been delayed.

The trial for 22-year-old Jonathan Silva was supposed to begin next week, but his attorney asked that the location of the trial be moved because of all the publicity the case is getting.

Right now, it looks like the trial could be moved to Carlsbad.

Silva is charged with murder and robbery among other charges in connection with the killing of 53-year-old Virginia Land who was shot during a robbery attempt in November of last year.
