BIG SPRING - An update on a story you only saw on NewsWest Nine.

A blind Big Spring man has been put out of business.

Paul Johnson has been selling soda and ice cream to neighborhood kids out of his home, but after complaints, the city investigated.

Since we first reported this story back in June, the City of Big Spring has denied Mr. Johnson's appeal.

He'd been selling snacks and sodas to neighborhood children as his main source of income.

Neighbors complained saying so many kids were visiting his home, it could cause a traffic accident.

The city searched his house and found the main violation was advertising.

The Big Spring native had hung several signs displaying prices and flavors in his front windows.

NewsWest 9 spoke with the Big Spring City Manager Todd Darden on Thursday and he tells us advertising at home as a business is strictly prohibited.

Darden says at this point all Mr. Johnson can do is to re-appeal his case.
