ODESSA - If you live in Odessa and you have a junk car in your yard, better get it out or the City will do it for you.

The neighborhood development office is issuing a warning to owners who abandon their cars.

It will get towed and you will face a fine if you don't move it in the time you're given.

That goes for cars dumped on public property for 3 days and ones on private property for 30 days.

It's considered a junk car if it does not have a valid license plate or inspection sticker.

If you can't afford to move your car, call 335-4640 and the City will tow it.

You can also call that number to take care of other City code violations like overgrown yards or illegal dumping.
