A Hobbs man lead Lea County deputies across state lines before ending up behind bars on Thursday night.
Deputies went to Jimmy Trevino's home to arrest him on several warrants.
That's when they say Trevino grabbed his girlfriend and their two kids and headed out the back door.
By the time deputies noticed, Trevino was heading down New Mexico Highway 18 toward Jal and Eunice.
At that point, deputies started to chase him.
When Trevino hit Highway 176, there was a Eunice police officer waiting for him.
Authorities say Trevino ran him off the road and headed for the state line.
About a mile and a half across the state line, the chase literally fizzled out because Trevino ran out of gas.
That's when the Andrews Sheriff's Office stepped in.
Deputies caught Trevino and let his girlfriend and children return to Hobbs with the Sheriff.
After searching his car, Andrews deputies tell us they found meth paraphenelia and scales inside.
