MIDLAND - "I just didn't know what was going on. Everything happened so fast, at 6:30 in the morning!"

Before the sun came up, Midland Police say 19-year-old Taylor Picon stole a Ford F350 and took off down Andrews Highway.

"I was in the turning lane, he jumped lanes and he almost hit me head on while I was trying to turn and that's when I turned into this parking lot and a police officer came running to me asking me if I was o.k. I told him I was fine, but that he hit the car that was in front of him, and that's when they took off and chased him down," Manager Shadi Idais of Cedo's Shop in Midland, said.

But police were already on the scene, they were responding to a broken window at a service station at the corner of Louisiana and Andrews.

"They were already in the parking lot, they saw everything that happened, and they just chased him, took after him," Idais added.

Picon hit two more cars at the Godfrey intersection and a fourth at the Alpine intersection. At that point, the driver jumped out where police were able to catch up to him.

Police arrested the suspect, Taylor Picon, on seven different charges including intoxication assault and resisting arrest.

The driver that was hit has been taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock and is listed in serious condition.

Midland Police say the chain of hit and runs is still under investigation.
