MIDLAND - A Midland bank robber is on his way to prison.
Eric Andrews Rios was sentenced to six years in prison for holding up the Community National Bank at gunpoint.
When he gets out, he'll also spend five years on parole.
U.S. Attorney John Klassen says that's a pretty stiff punishment, because Rios used a minor as his getaway driver.
Rios walked into the Community National Bank at Florida and Terrell with a gun and demanding money from the teller.
He told her that if she didn't hurry up, he would kill her.
When she didn't move fast enough, he threatened her again.
Rios and his 17-year-old get-away driver were arrested a few blocks away.
